What makes this book different

The book is narrated as a conversation between a female leader in STEM, Aarti, and her mentee, Tina. For 15 years, they go for an annual walk and talk through Tina's challenges.

Lived experience

Tried and tested strategies drawn from real leadership experience in tech and engineering, showing you what actually makes an impact in the work environment.

Practical exercises

Actionable step by step instructions to implement the learnings directly and immediately increase your confidence, authority and impact you make at work.

What are the 5 keys?

Key #1: Confidence

Having a strong self-belief and using your unique strengths as an advantage.

Key #2: Resilience

Not giving in - acknowledging the challenges and having strategies to deal with them so your performance is not impacted.

Key #3: Power

Behaving and speaking in ways that express authority and credibility, so you are taken seriously and can make an impact with your work.

Key #4: Authenticity

Staying true to yourself – showing confidence, authority and leadership in a way that feels right to you, that doesn’t feel rude and doesn’t violate any of your values.

Key #5: Care

Working to help others progress, guarding psychological safety in the team, and being a champion of inclusive work culture.
